Apprentice Electrician

Mountain View Electric Ltd. is looking for an Apprentice Electrician (1st or 2nd Year) to join our team. Based in Enderby, the Apprentice Electrician will assist our Journeymen in performing quality installations and services for our valued clients on site while showcasing exceptional customer service skills.

Position Summary:
Mountain View Electric Ltd. is looking for an Apprentice Electrician (1st or 2nd Year) to join our team. Based in Enderby, the Apprentice Electrician will assist our Journeymen in performing quality installations and services for our valued clients on site while showcasing exceptional customer service skills.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Install and terminate conduit wire, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and various control components and devices
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical control circuits for motors and control devices for various electrical devices
  • Analyze and solve problems with various electrical controls and systems.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance & repair techniques.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch, your manager, parts & installation and/or service teams.
  • Keep your truck inventory up to date.
  • Maintain a clean and well-kept uniform and truck.
  • Monitor parts usage & report any issues with materials. Complete and submit all required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations.

Required Competencies:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Registered as an apprentice through the Alberta/BC Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission
  • Ability to work under supervision of certified electricians, independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, organization & customer relationship skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract.

Work Conditions:

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lb.
  • Travel to off-site locations will be required.
  • Safety equipment will be required.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Experience: Journeyman Electrician: 1 year (Preferred)
